Privacy Policy

Effective Date — February 27, 2026

Overview

This policy applies to the Bromyde suite of darkroom apps for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch — Bromyde Timer, Bromyde Enlarger, and Bromyde Contact. Every app is designed to run locally on your device. The apps do not track you and do not collect personal data for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

Information We Access

  • Photos you choose in the system photo picker (Bromyde Enlarger and Bromyde Contact only).

The apps only access photos you explicitly select. They never read your full photo library in the background. Bromyde Timer does not access your photos at all.

How Information Is Used

  • Selected photos are processed entirely on-device to create digital negatives and previews.
  • Editing, exposure, timer, and mix settings are saved locally so you can reopen previous work.

Data Storage

  • Images and settings are stored locally on your device.
  • Data is not uploaded to Bromyde servers, because Bromyde does not operate a backend data service.
  • Settings may be shared between Bromyde apps on the same device through a private, on-device app group. This data never leaves your device.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Your photos, negatives, and settings remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app.
  • You can delete saved items at any time from within the app.
  • Uninstalling the app removes all data it stored on your device.
  • You can change or revoke photo access at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Sharing and Disclosure

  • Bromyde does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
  • Apple may process information according to Apple's own policies when you use iOS system components (for example, the Photos picker or system alarms).

Tracking and Advertising

Bromyde does not use cross-app tracking and does not access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). The apps contain no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and make no network connections.

Your Choices

  • You can choose not to grant photo access; in that case photo import features will be unavailable.
  • You can remove saved items from within the app at any time.

Children's Privacy

Bromyde is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be provided in the app, in the app listing, and on this page.
