An iPhone or iPad screen can be both the negative and the light source. Import a photo and Bromyde shows it on the screen as a negative that you can print onto photographic paper, either projected through an enlarger or contact printed on the glass.
Every app also has to work next to open light-sensitive paper. That means no stray white pixels, no system keyboard flashing in, and no alert that lights up the room.
